Amanda Flynn Clinic

The Amanda Flynn Clinic is the only private inpatient mental health facility in Queensland that caters specifically for young people aged 16 - 25. Young people are admitted voluntarily. We use a therapeutic model that is collaborative and focused on your strengths.

Clinic Overview

  • We have a mixture of single and shared rooms. We are mindful that you may prefer to have single rooms and we will do our best to accommodate requests whenever possible.
  • There are no bedrooms with ensuites but there are single bathrooms throughout the clinic.
  • You have access to sessions that are run at our Recovery College. (This is located right next door to the clinic and is another part of the Emotional Health Unit.)
  • You have access to consulting suites, lead by experienced mental health practitioners. They can provide a range of services including mental health assessment as well as treatment and follow-up for depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. (If you currently attend school, we also have access to schooling facilities during your stay with us.)
  • There are also some planned therapeutic groups for you to participate in.

During your stay

Our team of experienced mental health clinicians at the Amanda Flynn Clinic understand that it can be confronting, confusing and concerning when struggling with mental health.

During your stay with us, you can be assured that the best possible care will be provided to you in your recovery journey. If at any time you have concerns,  please approach our team members who are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

As we are based at a hospital, the Amanda Flynn Clinic is a tobacco and  substance free zone. We do have access to some great resources that can help you remain tobacco free during your admission and/or assist with other substance use issues if needed.

We look forward to working with you on your path to recovery.
