Perinatal Physiotherapy programs

Mater Mothers' Hospital women's health physiotherapists provide quality exercise classes for pregnant women to ensure that you exercise safely and in line with best practice guidelines.

Physiotherapy Pilates Class

Pilates assists in developing core strength by facilitating correct positioning for exercises, breathing and muscle activation. It is ideal for pregnant and postnatal women.

An initial assessment can determine your individual goals and address any concerns.  Our classes are limited to four clients to allow for close supervision and tailored programs.

  • assisting the body to release its own morphine like substance (endorphins).

TENS is non-invasive and has no known side effects to the mother or baby.  Experienced physiotherapists run a tuturial which is best to attend at around 37 weeks of your pregnancy.
