Mater Health and Wellness is a private allied health service offering a range of children's therapy services.

Early Childhood Assessment

  • 0 - 3 year assessment to assist with diagnosis
    • Occupational Therapy
    • Physiotherapy
    • Speech Pathology
  • Support NDIS assessment
  • Short term therapy intervention
  • 0-14 years comprehensive dietetic assessment and tailored nutrition advice

Specialise in assessment of feeding concerns

  • 0 - 14 years specialised multidisiplinary feeding clinic
  • 0 - 14 years feeding assessment 
    • Dietitian to assess nutrition
    • Speech Pathology to assess chewing and swallowing
    • Occupational Therapy to assess feeding and meal time concerns
    • Follow up appointments to assist with achieving therapy goals

 

 

Nutrition and dietetics

Physiotherapy

Children (0-14 years)
  • Growth concerns & nutrition optimisation
  • Food allergies & intolerances
  • Fussy eating
  • Tube feeding
  • Constipation and digestion problems
  • Disability and disease requirements including NDIS participants

Infants and young children (0-3 years)

  • Expert developmental screening and support for ex-preterm infants
  • Developmental assessment and intervention for movement and posture concerns
  • Musculoskeletal management e.g., torticollis, plagiocephaly

Occupational Therapy

Speech Pathology

Children (0-14 years)

  • Feeding & mealtime concerns including NDIS participants referred through the Multidisciplinary Feeding Clinic

Infants and young children (0-3 years):

  • Developmental concerns focused on fine motor, play and learning, self-care,

  • Specific  hand conditions e.g. clasp thumb anomaly

Sensory/emotional/behaviour concerns in infants & toddlers including regulation, play & interacting.

 

 

 

 

Feeding services for infants and children (0-14 years) to assist with:

  • Chewing and swallowing skills

  • Broadening the range and volume of foods children eat

Communication services for infants and young children (0-3 years) to assist with:

  • Early communication skills development -toddlers who are not yet talking / recently started talking

  • Connecting or engaging with others

  • Unclear or limited speech

  • Alternative communication methods (e.g. key word sign, iPads)
